Heifer and China Farmer University cooperation project initiated

   From 19 th to 22 nd , December 2006, the “prospects for talents” training project founded by CFU and Heifer Anhui made an successful initiating courses in Bengbu City , Anhui . Project families and some major families in the feeding business in Bengbu , Lujiang, Shexian, Huoshan and Shouxian, altogether more than 100 people, attended the training. Two sections were included, one being modern management philosophy, which were designed to enhance confidence, self-reliance and esteem, to encourage entrepreneurship and to empower the sustainable development of the community, the other being scientific feeding and prevention of deceases, in which the trainees could gain techniques necessary for increasing efficiency. The exciting lectures and vivid demonstrations given by the professors broadened trainees' sight and enriched their knowledge. When the training was over, most trainees said they would like to have more training activities like this in the future.

    In the year 2007, the cooperation between CFU and Heifer Anhui Regional Program will be carried on. 400 people from project families will receive training. Meanwhile, Mr. Li Ruilin, Consultant from Heifer China , who has been made Associating Professor by CFU, will be assisting CFU in the training projects in Anhui .
