Farmer Training held in Beijing

From Jan.18th to Jan.20th, 2007, 51 Heifer recipients from Yixian County of Hebei and Miyun County of Beijing were trained in China Farmer University in Beijing to learn sheep production, sheep disease prevention and treatment and small business management. Short as it was, the participants benefited a lot from the training. On the completion ceremony, Mr. Chen Taiyong, Country Director of Heifer China and Mr. Song Weiping, Vice President of CFU extended warm congratulations to the farmers. Mr. Zhang Cheng, representative of the project farmers, said: “We have learned not only necessary sheep production skills but also new ideas and working methods for alleviating poverty. It's so exciting that we farmers could listen to and have face-to-face communication with university professors!”
